We are God’s poem, His handiwork, His work of art.
Rhapsody Church is God’s workmanship here in Vancouver, Washington. We are part of a larger work God is writing (His Church), to declare His extravagant love and character to those around us.
“For we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in.” – Ephesians 2:10
Matt Chapirson became the lead pastor of Rhapsody Church in January 2019, after the founding pastors, Brandon and Joy Berg, felt God’s call to move into a new adventure.
Rhapsody Church started in June 2009 in a living room with 12 people. When Brandon met with Clark County YMCA’s Executive Director and Chaplain, it became clear the YMCA was to be the home for Rhapsody Church and Rhapsody began gathering at the YMCA in September 2010 with 32 people.
Rhapsody Church has no intention of moving to a “church building” or changing location. The YMCA is her permanent home.
Today, Rhapsody has impacted hundreds of people in the community and the YMCA. She continues to walk with young families, members and staff of the YMCA, and many others along the journey of faith. Pastor Matt, and his wife, Sara, have a heart to see an authentic community of people continue to journey together in this epic story.

APOSTLE’S CREED
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
